Service Description
Course title: Level 3 award in allergen management caterers Summary: This well regarded course and qualification provides comprehensive learning for those involved with allergen control and management from delivery through to food service, and providing safe food for patients, staff and customers with food hypersensitivities. The course shall develop and deepen allergen knowledge and skills. Suitable for: This course is perfect for anyone working in a role where they are involved with allergen management and/or have close involvement with provision of food for patients, staff, visitors with food allergies, intolerances or Coeliac disease. This includes for example chefs, supervisors and managers within catering, retail or at ward level. Content: The course content spans the requirements of the Highfield qualification, and includes the following modules: Introduction to allergens The common allergens Legislation & guidance Pre-requisites - good hygiene practice Practical controls in healthcare settings Management - policies, verification, incident reporting The sessions cover accurate information, change management, communication, case studies, training and more... We place high emphasis on not only achieving Certification, but applying learning to achieve continual improvement in your role and organisation. Duration: The training will be delivered during two morning sessions across two weeks on Zoom using a variety of learning methods. There will also be some workplace based tasks and practice questions Tutors: Your tutors will include Fiona Sinclair, who has considerable experience of allergen management in healthcare settings, and Joanna Carnell, experienced food safety trainer and hospital food safety auditor. Examination: This Level 3 assessment is multiple choice comprising 30 questions, to be completed within 1 hour. • To pass, the learner must achieve a total of at least 60% (18 out of 30 correct answers). • A distinction will be awarded for learners that achieve 80% (24 out of 30 correct answers). The formal assessment will be carried out online at a date convenient for you. An RFQ accredited level 3 award in allergen management for caterers certificate is awarded upon successfully passing the examination. Cost: £160+VAT - includes course, assessment, Highfield booklet, slide deck e-handouts, tutor support, remote invigilation and certificate.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations To cancel your place, please provide atleast 30 days notice for a full refund, and 2 weeks notice for 50% refund. Cancellations made with less than 2 weeks notice are not eligible for refund. Rescheduling Should you wish to reschedule your booking, please provide as much notice as possible. Reschedule requests made with less than 2 weeks notice may be subject to an administration fee of up to 25% of the course fee. Inspectrum Food Safety reserve the right to reschedule course dates or make cancellations for example due to unforeseen circumstances such as tutor illness or insufficient bookings. In such circumstances as much notice shall be provided as possible and the candidate will be offered a choice to reschedule or receive a refund.
