Course title: Level 3 award in food safety for catering Summary: This qualification provides an excellent grounding in all aspects of food safety relevant for catering. This course provides ideal support for those with responsibility for implemented their organisations food safety management system, and supervising or managing food handlers. This qualification is ideal for professional development and for those who wish to progress to greater depth with their understanding of food safety. Suitable for: This course is perfect for those who work in catering and have a supervisory or management role. For example team leaders, senior chefs, responsible persons. Content: The course content spans the requirements of the Highfield qualification specification, including: Understanding and compliance with food safety legislation Application and monitoring of: - Personal hygiene - Training & competency - Cleaning - Pests - Contamination - Microbiology - Temperature control How to implement food safety management procedures Examination: This qualification is assessed via a 90 minute multiple choice examination that comprises 45 questions. The pass mark is 60% and candidates that achieve 80% or higher shall receive a distinction. The formal assessment will be carried out online at a date convenient for you. An RFQ accredited level 3 certificate in supervising food safety in catering is awarded upon passing the examination. Cost: £345 - includes course, learner registration, text book and remote invigilated examination.
Cancellations To cancel your place, please provide atleast 30 days notice for a full refund, and 2 weeks notice for 50% refund. Cancellations made with less than 2 weeks notice are not eligible for refund. Rescheduling Should you wish to reschedule your booking, please provide as much notice as possible. Reschedule requests made with less than 2 weeks notice may be subject to an administration fee of up to 25% of the course fee. Inspectrum Food Safety reserve the right to reschedule course dates or make cancellations for example due to unforeseen circumstances such as tutor illness or insufficient bookings. In such circumstances as much notice shall be provided as possible and the candidate will be offered a choice to reschedule or receive a refund.
