About the event
Food Safety Study Day
This unique event focuses on food safety specifically in the context of hospitals.
Now in it's forth year, this annual event attracts NHS Trusts from across the UK, national contract caterers and an array of excellent speakers.
This day is a fantastic opportunity for collaboration, learning and development, bringing together hospital professionals with subject matter experts from the Food Standards Agency, Chilled Food Association, Environmental Health, NHS England and more...

Venue
The venue is Governors Hall, St Thomas Hospital, Westminster Bridge Road, London, SE1 7EH.
The Governors Hall is located on the ground floor South Wing. Take a right as you enter through the Main Reception, and then turn left. Half way down the corridor you will see a door marked 'Governors Hall' on your right. Go thought the door and up the stairs.
By train: Waterloo and Waterloo East are the closest train stations and are a 10-15 minute walk away. Westminster underground station is a 10 minute walk and Waterloo underground a 15 minute walk.
Timings
Delegates are welcome to arrive from 9.15am onwards for refreshment and registration, for a prompt 9.45am start.
The day will finish at 3.30pm.
Refreshments
Refreshments will be provided at the venue upon arrival and during morning break.
A buffet lunch will be provided adjacent to the lecture theatre.

Attendance
NHS hospitals: We are pleased to offer this event free of charge for attendees directly employed by NHS hospitals.
Private hospitals & healthcare contract caterers: The event is also open to private hospitals and contract caterers that provide catering for healthcare. A small fee of £55 plus VAT per person is applicable. Payments can be made online, or via invoice.

The timing of the event is to coincide (approximately this year) with World Food Safety Day which falls during June. The World Health Organisation (WHO) launched World Food Safety Day in 2019, to draw attention and inspire action to help prevent and manage food borne risks and contribute to human health..
