Service Description

Course title: Level 3 award in HACCP for caterers Summary: This course provides a sound understanding of how HACCP can be applied to a catering environment, with an emphasis on healthcare settings. Suitable for: This course is ideal for learners who already hold a level 3 or 4 food safety qualification and who want to continue to develop their food safety knowledge, as well as those responsible for HACCP in healthcare organisations. For example catering managers, head chefs, department heads, nominated food safety specialists, competent and responsible persons, trainers. Content: The course content includes: • Understanding the importance of HACCP-based food safety management procedures • The preliminary processes for HACCP-based procedures in catering • The hazards and controls at every step in the catering operation • How to implement HACCP-based food safety • How to verify HACCP based procedures The course spans the requirements of the Highfield qualification specification. Duration: The training will be delivered during two weekly morning sessions across two weeks on Zoom using a variety of learning methods. Learning will also take place via our 'Sideways' knowledge hub, making the learning flexible and varied for you. Tutors: Your tutors will include Fiona Sinclair, who has extensive experience of food safety in healthcare settings, and Justine Norris, experienced food safety professional and lecturer in HACCP. Examination: This Level 3 assessment is multiple choice comprising 30 questions, to be completed within 1 hour. • To pass, the learner must achieve a total of at least 60% (18 out of 30 correct answers). • A distinction will be awarded for learners that achieve 80% (24 out of 30 correct answers). The formal assessment will be carried out online at a date convenient for you. An RFQ accredited level 3 award in HACCP for Caterers certificate is awarded upon successfully passing the examination. Cost: £295 - includes course, learner registration, text book, tutor support and remote invigilated examination, certificate.


Cancellation Policy

Cancellations To cancel your place, please provide atleast 30 days notice for a full refund, and 2 weeks notice for 50% refund. Cancellations made with less than 2 weeks notice are not eligible for refund. Rescheduling Should you wish to reschedule your booking, please provide as much notice as possible. Reschedule requests made with less than 2 weeks notice may be subject to an administration fee of up to 25% of the course fee. Inspectrum Food Safety reserve the right to reschedule course dates or make cancellations for example due to unforeseen circumstances such as tutor illness or insufficient bookings. In such circumstances as much notice shall be provided as possible and the candidate will be offered a choice to reschedule or receive a refund.
